2017 CROWN GROUP AUSTRALIAN BADMINTON OPEN (Superseries)

Of the 12 international professional Superseries tournaments sanctioned by Badminton World Federation (BWF), the Crown Group Australian Badminton Open is one of the most prestigious as it offers the largest prize money in the world at US$750,000.

Badminton fans are treated to a star-studded line-up of the best badminton players in the world competing in all 5 disciplines of the sport- Men & Women singles, Men & Women Doubles and Mixed Doubles.

The Crown Group Australian Badminton Open will be held at Sydney Olympic Park (SOP) Sports Centre. BWF has reported it to be one of the best venues in the world to host such an event, worthy of the many fans, officials and media from all over the world who come to Sydney to participate in the event.

The tournament commences Tuesday 20 June 2017 with the finals on Sunday 25 June 2017.

Live TV coverage and broadcasting of the event to over 300 million households around the world begins on Friday 23 June 2017.
