Australia is known to produce an abundance of agricultural crops for our own consumption and to supply our export partners. Western Australia plays an important role in this production and productivity domain. However, does the large production volumes in the State address some of our food security needs? How do we sufficiently value-add to the raw product by manufacturing food and beverages that are needed domestically and by our export partners? Can we move the needle from dig-and-ship raw products to value-adding and product development from farm-to-plate at scale? How do we go about playing to our comparative advantages through innovative step changes? Where are the opportunities and challenges in moving ahead?
Be part of the conversation of 24 February 2023 at the Food Innovation Precinct Western Australia (FIPWA) where industry and government experts discuss these issues, talk about some of the programmatic interventions offered at the FIPWA and how you can access these, and consider becoming part of the FIPWA ecosystem.
FIPWA is a state-of-the-art facility fostering food and beverage industry innovation to drive business growth, and develop new products and exports – to transform Western Australia’s food and beverage manufacturing industry to meet regional food security.
