ABOUT FLIGHT

FLIGHT is an unsettling journey in complete darkness inside a 40ft shipping container.

In the unlikely event of a sudden loss of cabin pressure, alternative scenarios will be provided.

The many worlds interpretation of Quantum Mechanics proposes all possible outcomes that could occur, are occurring in countless worlds of varying similarity.

Find comfort in knowing that however ill advised your choices have been - there is a version of you who made better ones and is suffering less regret and embarrassment.


Runtime: allow 25 minutes, actual duration 22 minutes.
Please allow a minimum of 10 minutes between sessions when booking multiple shows, or at least 20 minutes if you require a drink or toilet break.

Experienced: Seated in an economy plane seat, wearing headphones, in complete darkness.

Check in: 10 minutes before show time, no admittance once doors close.

Location: The site entrance is Sidon Street, at the Maritime Musuem in South Brisbane.
You will find the DARKFIELD containers and Maho Magic under the Goodwill Bridge.

WARNINGS:

FLIGHT may not suitable for those who are pregnant, or suffering from neck/back injuries or heart conditions.
These patrons enter at their own risk.

Ages 15+, or ages 13 - 15 must be accompanied by a responsible adult ticket-holder. 
No admittance to children under 13.

If you are claustrophobic, suffer from PTSD, or could be triggered by flying or aviation themes, this may not be the show for you.

ABOUT DARKFIELD:

DARKFIELD experiences utilise striking sets and shipping containers, binaural 360 degree sound, complete darkness and a variety of sensory effects, where each participant is situated at the centre of intense, evolving narratives.

Be warned, capacities are limited and shows often sell out. 

Allow a minimum 10 minutes between the end of one session time and start of the next. 

 
 SEASON + TICKET DETAILS

FLIGHT will run half hourly from 6pm - late on Wednesdays and from 2pm - late on weekends.

Tickets to shows at DARKFIELD in Brisbane range from $23.83 - $27.43 including booking fees and may be subject to change throughout the season.

Check in: 10 minutes before show time, latecomers will not be admitted once doors close.

Concession Cards: we accept all Services Australia concession cards and student ID cards. Customers must present valid card with proof of ID.

EXCHANGES

Exchanges are permitted up to 48 hours before the event for tickets of equal or lesser value only.

REFUNDS

All tickets are non-refundable. Realscape will not refund, cancel or exchange any ticket except as outlined below, in accordance with Live Performance Australia (LPA) Ticketing Code of Practice and otherwise as required by law.

LATECOMERS will not be admitted once doors close

Latecomers are not entitled to a refund or complimentary tickets.

Entrance into the following session will be up to organiser discretion and only if capacity permits at the time.

WHAT HAPPENS:

During the show, the audience is seated in economy plane seats, wearing headphones, in complete darkness. Rest assured, no one will touch you during the performance.

Deprived of your vision, you are immersed in a theatrical experience that challenges your sense of reality as you rely on your other senses.

ACCESSIBILITY:

WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBILITY: Unfortunately due to safety restrictions, FLIGHT cannot accommodate a wheelchair.

HEARING: The show is primarily audio based, in complete darkness (no visuals).
It relies heavily on hearing different audio in each ear, patrons with hearing impairment may not experience the full show. 

VISUAL: The show is suitable for those who are vision impaired. 

PHOTOSENSITIVITY: There is a short simulated lighting sequence (not strobe).
