Event Description

To celebrate Forest Collective’s wild year exploring all things new music, we present our glittering end of year gala presented at the Australian Institute of Music.

World premiere performance includes a new commission by our 2018-composer-in-residence Alex Turley. This thrilling end of year affair also includes Australian premieres of music by Peter Eotvos (HUN), Beat Furrer(AUT), Gregers Brinch (DNK) and Forest Collective audience favourite Caroline Louise Miller (USA).

This concert will feature two international works selected from our recent Call For Scores campaign, along with a performance of the incredibly relevant work around the freedom of women’s movement in society, the more I think about it the bigger it gets by Samantha Wolf.

Soak in the new, unexpected and lush sounds among our musicians and composers as you join us for our final hoorah of 2018!
