From the Depths

Forest Collective's 2014 season culiminates in a vibrant, multi-disciplinary festival in the gorgeous Abbotsford Convent. Over three days, young musicians, performers and artists will unite classical and contemporary approaches over a variety of media.

The Convent will come to life as we showcase visual and interactive artwork, film installations and pop-up events.

William Elm will weave instrumental stories steeped in heavy mythology and nuance, from the depths of his imagination to the depths of the Abbotsford Convent. 
Taking the audience on a journey from quiet piano bagatelles to aleatoric music, to dark rhapsodies and impromptus, there shall be tales from the joys of conquering to the darkness of loss and inner melancholia. 

Featuring piano, accordion, and a plethora of other instruments, From the Depths will have its second run, from its debut at The Butterfly Club.
