Supporting clinical Practitioners whilst promoting nursing expertise
This comprehensive eight (8) hour workshop is designed for health care professionals directly involved with the care of patients supported by extracorporeal membraneous oxygenation (ECMO) therapy using Getinge's using Cardiohelp and Rotaflow extracorporeal Life support systems (ECLS).
A combination of theory and interactive group sessions will enable the participant to apply theoretical knowledge to clinical practice in a safe environment.
On completion the participants will have a greater understanding of the physiological effects experienced by patients supported on ECLS, be able to identify relevant indications and contraindications for using ECLS. Apply the concept of circuit configuration, device orientation, device setup, operation and trouble shooting.
