Greenwich Drop Off - For Balmain Adventure Camp:
An Adventure Camp Instrutor will meet you at the Greenwich Sailing Club, and escort the kids via Ferry to the Balmain Camp Location.
All Children are required to have a valid OPAL Card with sufficient funds to travel on the Ferry to/from Birchgrove.
Drop Off Location: Greenwich Sailing Club, Mann Place, Greenwich NSW 2065
Drop Off Point: Turn off O’Connell St onto Manns Place and drop off in Sailing Club car park.

- Please drop off at Greenwich Sailing Club between 8:00am - 8:30am
- We will catch the 8:57am Ferry from Greenwich Point Wharf (you can drop off directly at the Wharf if you prefer - but please let us know). The kids will then walk to the Balmain Sailing Club to join the Camp.
- We will catch the 4:03pm Ferry from Birchgrove Wharf
- Kids will be back at Greenwich Sailing Club and ready for pickup from 4:15pm
- Pickup can be as late as 5:00pm, as normal. Our instructor will wait with the group and check them out when you arrive.
About Balmain Camp:
Balmain Adventure Camp is based out of the Balmain Sailing Club and/or Birchgrove Public School Hall (depending on the time of year). With only a short walk to nearby Dawn Fraser Baths, Elkington Park & Birchgrove Oval, this is a great spot to base our teams over a 3-day Adventure.

What Activities are at Balmain:
Activities vary camp to camp, and not all of the activities listed below are included in each camp. As a guide, Balmain Camps can include a selection of:
- Sailing Activity – 90mins of sailing games (Summer, April, Sept)
- Building activities – Shelter Build, Stretcher Build, Raft Build, Sailing
- Group challenges – games that require teamwork or initiative to complete, such as “Minefield”, “Toxic Crossing” etc
- Dawn Fraser Baths– Various water games
- Code Breaker puzzles
- Mass games (Team Vs Team)
- Adventure Relay
- Prize Auction – the grand finale of all Adventure Camps
- NOTE: During winter we don’t do swimming / water activities
How to Prepare for Camp:
Please bring the following to Camp:
- Hat
- Sun Cream– especially if you require special cream (we will also provide sun cream and require kids to re-apply every 2 hours)
- Change of clothes
- Swimmers & Towel
- Rain Jacket / Poncho (if applicable depending on the weather forecast)
- Lunch, Morning Tea, Afternoon Tea - the kids are outside and active all day, so a big, healthy lunch is recommended. Please no Nuts to assist us with anyone who may be allergic.
- Water bottle
- Shoes (that can get wet, muddy, dirty) - ideally a spare pair, plus spare socks or water shoes
- Back pack or bag they can carry everything in - please note that we carry our bags with us most of the day, so a comfortable back pack is recommended.
PLEASE ENSURE YOU LABEL all items.
Please do not bring the following:
- Nut based foods - to cater for any kids with allergies, please do not bring any nuts or nut based foods.
- This is a tech free camp. We don’t want kids bringing tablets, mobiles or any other electronic devices. If your child must have a phone to contact you, please ask them to hand it in to their instructor and ask for it when required.
- We don’t accept bullying or other anti-sociable behaviour. We will provide one warning to a child and if they continue we will ask you to take your child home.
