Island Vibe Festival is excited to announce we've been busy weaving magic behind the scenes to expand our offerings and facilitate our first permaculture retreat!
This retreat will give participants an all too rare opportunity to walk with local permaculturists and traditional owners to explore the story of food sovereignty on the island; what was, what is, and what can be. An incredible opportunity for a small group of participants to grow their connection to country, immerse themselves in the local community and sink their feet deep into the sands of island culture.
A synchronistic collaboration between Island Vibe Festival, Grounded Permaculture Action Party Inc, Pacific Earth School and Straddie Adventures the five day program will cover:
- Permaculture Ethics & Principles
- Solar Passive Design
- Urban Permaculture Design
- Bush Tucker
- Immersive Quandamooka Kulcha Experience

The retreat will run from Sun 21st @1pm - Thur 25th Oct @4pm, with meals and theory classes based out of the festival site and the practical aspects exploring projects on the island. All meals provided during the retreat from our zero-waste vegan kitchen.
Registration fee is $500 (payment plans available at check out), price is for the retreat only. Participants are eligible for a discounted 4 day Island Vibe ticket priced at $150 (saving of $90). This option can be added to your shopping cart as you proceed through your booking.
