Event Description

Djilba, the growing season.  It is a transitional time of the year, with some very cold and clear days combining with warmer, windy days.

Birdlife Australia and the City of Cockburn invite you to join an experienced guide exploring the Nyungar use of the land, six seasons and culture at the Native Bird Oasis.

The Native Bird Oasis has been built to help save endangered black cockatoos and other bush birds that are struggling for survival in urbanh areas.  For food and shelter, 12,000 seedlings have been planted and a custom watering station installed.

Bush tucker morning tea provided.

Please wear enclosed shoes, a hat and BYO water bottle.

This is a FREE event, however bookings are essential.
