Event Description
Guided walk - South Lake

Join our bush maintenance team for a leisurely morning walk through your local patch: Bolderwood Reserve, located within Bloodwood Park in South Lake.

This small patch of remnant vegetation comprises of two main vegetation types: Melaleuca preissiana low open woodland and Banksia attenuata low woodland. This area is a recorded Dieback area, a devastating plant disease caused by the water mould Phytophthora cinnamomi.

During this walk, you will learn how the bush maintenance team manages dieback, discover the local plants and animals within the reserve, and find out how you can help protect this precious area.

Don't miss this enriching experience to learn about your local bushland. Meet at the Nature Discovery Day marquee, Bloodwood Park. Please register.

This is an all-ages event. Remember your hat!

This event is held as part of the City of Cockburn's Nature Discovery Day, connecting communities with their local bushland. Sign up for a FREE guided walk, hands-on activity, or just pop down and have a chat with the Sustainability and Climate Change team.
