Habeas Chorus is delighted to present a concert of sumptuous vocal works from some of the most celebrated composers of the 19th Century. This concert will feature music inspired by nature, in all its beauty and raw power . It is inspired by the unknown and the macabre. It is inspired by the rising of the sun, and its passing into night.
For this performance Habeas Chorus are joined by soloists from within Melbourne's legal community for a selection of works by composers that defined the romantic art-song genre in a marriage of melody and poetry accompanied on the piano by the extraordinary Dean Sky-Lucas.
The rich acoustic and glorious stained glass of Xavier College Chapel provide the perfect space for an afternoon of joyous music making.
