Leading US promoter HARD Events, today announce HARD AUSTRALIA, their inaugural run of Australian events dates, proudly co-presented by Out Here, the bass division of Hardware.
HARD founder & curator Gary Richards (aka Destructo) will be bringing a stacked lineup to his Australian fans this December across Sydney, Brisbane, Perth & Adelaide.
HARD welcomes Canadian headliner Zeds Dead who will bring their bass heavy performance to Australia as part of their world tour for their debut album Northern Lights. Dropping at the end of this month, HARD Australia attendees can expect to hear a number of new tracks from the highly anticipated upcoming album, including collaborations with Diplo, Pusha T, NGHTMRE, Elliphant & Twin Shadow.
Joining the duo, will be the Miami based act GTA. In even more good news for HARD Australia fans, GTA also has a debut album to showcase at this event. Out early October and featuring tracks with Vince Staples, Tinashe, What So Not and more, GTA are expected to bring some serious heat to the stage.
Destructo reveals his spot on the lineup in what will be a huge moment for HARD Australia. Having collaborated with Ty Dollar $ign, YG, Pusha T and Wax Motif (amongst others), Destructo sits comfortably between the upper echelons of hip-hop and dance music's often separate worlds. From founding a US music empire to consistently delivering a high-quality musical output, Destructo's return to Australia is highly anticipated.
Also on board this December is OWSLA and Mad Decent affiliate Ghastly. From Arizona, the DJ and producer has overtaken many of his peers in the electronic realm – from collaborating with NGHTMRE, Diplo & JAUZ – to forging his dark, melodic productions in high-energy performances wherever he goes.
REZZ also joins the line up; another producer and DJ whose output is highly prolific and frequent. Recently tipped by inthemix as a producer to watch in 2016 and now making her Australian debut – REZZ, from Niagara Falls has proven how high she can climb with her hard-hitting productions that have caught the eye of Skrillex’s website Nest, received releases on deadmau5’s mau5trap label and drawn comparisons to Gesaffelstein.
Rounding out the first round artist announcement is the man at the centre of a new movement; Chris Lorenzo. Producer, remixer, DJ and Rinse FM host, Birmingham’s Chris Lorenzo is widely acknowledged for pioneering his hometown’s emergent and increasingly popular jackin’ house come Bassline hybrid sound, which he terms simply “House & Bass”. After an extensive summer of touring, Lorenzo will land in Australia ready to take to the HARD stage.
