High School Education Program Years 11 & 12

In this Year 11 & 12 Modern History site study, students reflect on the lives and stories of individuals and groups connected to Cockatoo Island's past.  Students will consider the impact of authority on people's lives, beginning with convict incarceration, and including boys school ships, girls industrial schools and reformatory, and the lives of shipyard workers. 

Students will consider how decisions made in the past have shaped society and authority structures and how these are witnessed in the buildings and places around them.
