Homayoun Shajarian was born in Tehran, He is the son of Maestro Mohammad Reza Shajarian, A great singer of traditional Iranian music. At a young age, Homayoun learned Iranian Percussion and traditional Iranian singing.

After attending Tehran Music Conservatory, Shajarian chose the Fiddle as his professional instrument. In 1991 he accompanied his father in concerts of AWAZ music group in America, Europe and Iran by playing Tumbak, From 1999 he started accompanying his father as vocalist. His first independent work (Nasim Wasl) published in 1999. Since then, Countless works of Homayoun Shajarian, with collaboration of well-known domestic and foreign artists been published.
