IR Reforms Unpacked

The Federal Government’s Secure Jobs, Better Pay Bill proposes extensive changes to the Fair Work Act that would result in seismic shifts to Australia’s workplace relations system. 

On the table is an overhaul of the rules around enterprise agreements, changes to fixed-term contracts, additional avenues to arbitration and amendments aimed at addressing gender and pay equity.

The Government is seeking to introduce these changes as soon as possible, which means many employers will be unaware of the impact they will have on their business until it is too late.

This first in a series of webinars on the IR Bill, CCIWA’s Associate Director of Workplace Relations and HR, Ryan Martin, will provide an overview of these reforms and answer any questions employers may have.
