Event Description
It's Just A Phase - So Don't Miss It!

I bet you've said it yourself. 'It's just a phase he's going through at the moment.'

Maybe it's teething, maybe it's getting out of bed a hundred times every night, maybe it's resisting going to school, maybe it's insisting on wearing her hair over her eyes.  You look forward to them 'growing out of it'. When my kids were small, I had a sign on my fridge that read, 'This too will pass.' to encourage me to stick it out in the frustrating phases.

But they grow up SO-O-O fast!

Every stage our child goes through brings opportunities to grow physically, emotionally, socially and spiritually.

Every phase is critical.

Every phase has its own significant relationships, present realities and distinctive opportunities.

So we have to pay attention. We have to do our homework. We have to show up consistently.

Kids matter at every phase.  Don't miss the potential in each one!

This seminar for parents includes a main session and a choice of break-out sessions. Our main session speaker is Sallie Hammond  Author, Podcaster, Parent Educator.

Acclaimed author and psychologist, Steve Biddulph, writes about Sallie's book "Sallie Hammond brings a gentle tenderness to her work, which is perfect for a parent educator. She also has wide experience working with mums and dads who have multiple issues, including lack of education, poverty, and violence in their own childhoods. And so everything she writes has passed through that filter- Will it work?... The result is an extraordinarily comprehensive coverage of the information that is critical to a family working well.'

After the main session, there will be a choice of three age-related sessions with a range of local professionals and practitioners focusing on the  opportunities we have at every phase in the development of our children, to help set them up for the future.
