The John Hughes Group employs over 500 staff and sells approximately 15,000 cars every year. Hughes has diversified his company into many peripheral services in the automotive industry including insurance, finance, finance broking, tyres and batteries, roadside assistance and a mobile service fleet.

Despite his success over time, Hughes has learned from past mistakes and believes the recipe for success is to “Be positive, be decisive, make quick decisions and stick to them, and have plenty of passion.”
