GOOD MANNERS PRESENTS

LUCIANBLOMKAMP X LOWER SPECTRUM

DOUBLE HEADLINE NATIONAL TOUR

LUCIANBLOMKAMP is launching his second album ‘Bad Faith’, the follow-up to his exploratory

2014 debut ‘PostNature’, while LOWER SPECTRUM is launching his ‘New Haze ’EP, featuring the brilliant ‘Proxima’. The new singles were each premiered on Triple J Lucian’s foreboding ‘The Overman’ by Linda Marigliano, and Lower Spectrum’s sprawling ‘Masquerade’ by Dom Alessio.

Bringing together two of Australia’s most talented emerging producers, the tour seeks to build on the excitement and sense of community in the local electronic scene. Delivering incredibly engaging live performances, LUCIANBLOMKAMP and LOWER SPECTRUM are ideal representatives for Australian producers, and a perfect pairing for a nationwide tour.

Lucian’s first album put him squarely in people’s sights, together with its lead single ‘Help Me

Out‘, which was nominated for an AIR Award for ‘Best Dance, Electronica or Club Single’ and added to rotation on Triple J, FBi and RRR.

He went on to win FBi Radio’s Northern Lights competition, earning him a place on the line-up of the Iceland Airwaves festival, and has also played (among others) Splendour in the Grass, BIGSOUND, Melbourne Music Week, as well as supporting the likes of xxyyxx and Pantha

Du Prince. Releasing on Good Manners Records, ‘Bad Faith’ promises to usher in even bigger things.

The Pilerats signed LOWER SPECCTRUM released the single ‘Proxima’ late last year to widespread acclaim, following on from his ‘Traces’ EP and its single ‘Khlever’, which was nominated for ‘Best Song’ at the West Australian Music Awards.

He was selected to play Melbourne Music Week soon afterwards, and even designed the soundtrack for their promotional videos. He also received ‘artist to watch in 2015’ accolades from InTheMix and ToneDeaf, played memorable shows at BIGSOUND and St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival, and supported artists like Andy Stott , Jon Hopkins and Nightmares On Wax.

The accolades received by these two artists are even more impressive when you consider that both steer away from the conventions of popular music, creating thoughtful and thought-provoking pieces, and pushing the boundaries of a niche genre.
