Skill level: Beginner Level*
Class cost: $100
Join us for an introductory class where we will teach you the basics on how to use resin to make your own personal homemade jewellery. We will be using a fast setting polyurethane resin, plenty of colour and an array of silicone molds so you can play and enjoy the material in a fun and social environment. We will also introduce you to finishing techniques so you can complete your creations and have them ready to wear.
Workshop includes: Each student will get a kit to use on the day and keep after the class. Kit includes: Resin (2 parts), measuring equipment (cups, pop-sticks), safety equipment (disposable plastic apron and gloves), sanding materials, basic jewellery findings, a small gift.
Teachers will provide mixing tools, gloves, molds and colour pigments to be used on the day only.
Students please bring: Please wear clothes that you do not love too much! Resin is a messy material and won't wash out easily. Acetone is used to remove resin residue but it may also damage clothing.
If you have your own heavy duty apron, please do bring it along.
PLEASE NOTE: Workshop is available for visitors to the show. Class fee does not include the show entry ticket which must be purchased separately.
*This class is not suitable for children aged 12 and under.
