Mixed Mediums

Forest Collective's 2014 season culiminates in a vibrant, multi-disciplinary festival in the gorgeous Abbotsford Convent. Over three days, young musicians, performers and artists will unite classical and contemporary approaches over a variety of media.

The Convent will come to life as we showcase visual and interactive artwork, film installations and pop-up events.

Presented as a whimsical, but thought-provoking installation piece, this program will invite the viewer to reexamine the concept of the solo recital. The concert features five new works for solo bass trombone by Australian composers, each characterised by its interaction with other art-forms: fascinating light projections, live electronic soundscapes, daring video displays and even a touch of theatre.
