Acclaimed Sydney producer Yahtzel today makes his debut on ODESZA’s Foreign Family Collective, offering emotion ridden anthem single “Someone Else” featuring Brisbane vocalist Savoi.

Yahtzel aka Max Armata is well known for his work in music duo Carmada, who saw an enormous 2015 with the release of their groundbreaking Realise EP via LA-based label OWSLA. Yahtzel and acclaimed electronic producer L D R U teamed up to craft the Carmada project, which went on to change the pace of modern dance music by bringing melodic productions to main stages worldwide.

Highly versatile songwriter and producer Savoi brings top level lyrical gold to Yahtzel’s breakout release. The Brisbane native is known for a smooth fusion of electronic and pop top line mastery, which has earned him his ranking as one of country's go-to writers and voices. Savoi has risen through recent work on L D R U’s smash single “Next To You”, as well as on iconic singles from pioneering Perth DJ Shock One, emerging Melbourne youngsters Two Can and Netherlands wonderkid WRLD, all of which has lead to a worldwide publishing agreement with Sony/ATV.

“Someone Else” puts Yahtzel’s talents front and centre with his signature songwriting structure, cinematic sound design and organic percussion. The single acts as a point of departure for both of these genre-defying acts and yet another vessel through which the prosperous electronic scene continues its meteoric rise.

Today, Yahtzel also announces he'll be embarking on a mammoth 19-date tour covering all major cities across Australia and New Zealand from August to October - kicking off this week. Following the tour, Yahztel will head to the US to join Foreign Family Collective founders ODESZA on their North American tour.
