NYE 2022 Camping Experience at Cockatoo Island

Want to be a happy camper this New Year’s Eve? Book one of Cockatoo Island’s NYE camping packages and spend two nights – including the BIGGEST night of the year – in the heart of Sydney Harbour!

New Year's Eve at Cockatoo Island is a chance to celebrate a new dawn with friends and family on the world’s best harbour. As a camper, you’ll spend the biggest night of the year close to the action but far from the crowds! In addition to award-winning accommodation, you’ll enjoy incredible views of the city's world-famous NYE fireworks.

A range of pre-erected tents are available on the Northern and Eastern Aprons as part of our Standard and Deluxe Camping Packages. Plus, an area of the Eastern Apron is reserved for guests who wish to bring their own tent. Want a hassle-free stay? Purchase one of our basic or deluxe camping packages. Prefer a DIY camping experience? Select the ‘BYO tent’ option and pitch your own tent.

There are multiple options to choose from, catering for different preferences, budgets, and family sizes:

• Premium Deluxe Waterfront package (Woolwich view) - [Double bed | Sleeps 2 adults] - $1,300


• Camping Site Only (Harbour Bridge View) – [BYO tent | Sleeps 4*] – $400


• Basic Camping Package (Woolwich View) – [Two sleeping mats | Sleeps 3 adults OR 2 adults & 2 small children] - $550


• Deluxe Package (Woolwich View) – [Two raised single beds | Sleeps 2] – $700


• Deluxe Waterfront Package (Woolwich View) – [Two raised single beds | Sleeps 2**] – $900


• Deluxe Waterfront Package (Harbour Bridge View) – [Two raised single beds | Sleeps 2] – $1,200


• Two-Bedroom Deluxe Waterfront Package (Woolwich View) – [Four raised single beds | Sleeps 4**] – $1,700

* The Camping Site Only option can accommodate up to 2 additional guests at a cost of $100 (incl. GST) per person. 
** The Deluxe Waterfront Package (Woolwich View) can accommodate up to 1 additional person and the Two-Bedroom Deluxe Waterfront Package (Woolwich View) can accommodate up to 2 additional people. We will provide additional guests with sleeping mats, pillows and towels; however, they must supply their own sleeping bags. 

Important details

• A minimum two-night stay applies – check-in is from 2pm on Friday 30 December 2022 and check-out is by 11am on Sunday 1 January 2023.


• Full payment is required at the time of booking.


• No refunds or changes to bookings are permitted and our deluxe camping packages are non-transferable.


• The maximum number of occupants for each tent cannot be exceeded. This includes all infants and children.
