Event Description
Hullo again!

We have returned to the stratosphere after a lovely stay on PLANET X and are ready to get slinky in the the fiery bosom of Perth's steamy summer embrace.

Once more with in the inviting walls of the revered Connections Nightclub we got some A-grade fortified times for yew.

Another Outer Body experience ~ to tie a neat little bow on 2018. And me oh my…

It's been a wonderful year of dance, from our first foray in January with Honey Dijon and big buddies at Polyrhythmic ~ which was simply insane... To the stunning live performance from Ross From Friends during Fringe. Tuesday night Anzac day eve bonanza??? ~ We teamed up with Animals Dancing to bring a bevy of talent including Young Marco. Or how could we forget the Open Shaka wild times in August where we brought out the local legends to the front line. We are really excited to keep the times rolling (as it does) into 2019 for another cool trip. So on December 14 we invite you to join us on the astral plane once more for some very special present tense.

↶BIOGRAPHIES & CONTEXT↷

B.Traits (CAN)

Eclecticism. Evolution. Education.

Three intertwining principles that form the foundation of the career of Brianna Price. A journey that has seen her relocate from British Columbia, Canada to London, England; break the UK singles chart with her rave/bass hybrid track ‘Fever’; become an established and respected radio broadcaster for BBC Radio 1 through which she vehemently champions cutting edge underground electronic music; cement her reputation as a trusted selector at countless leading music events; and most recently become an advocate for drug education within her adopted home. Underpinning all these achievements is Brianna’s passion for sounds from across the musical spectrum, and her now well documented rampant eclecticism.

In 2007 Brianna signed to the Digital Soundboy family after playing Shy FX some demos whilst touring together. Her next relocation, this time to London, brought her closer to the rich melting pot of music styles that the English capital had to offer. This was the era of bass music exploding into it’s myriad forms – with labels like Hyperdub, Hessle Audio, Hotflush and of course Digital Soundboy bridging the space between dubstep, grime, drum'n'bass, techno and mainstream club sounds, the possibilities were endless.

Perhaps the biggest indicator of this sonic evolution has been through her work with BBC Radio 1. Having started out with a monthly “In New DJs We Trust” slot in 2012, her subsequent weekly Sunday night show, and later her emergence as the official cover for Annie Mac, Brianna has proven to be a key broadcaster for the public station.

B.Traits is a producer, DJ and radio presenter, bridging underground music from techno to jungle to house.

BBC Radio 1 Friday nights from 1 - 4am

Loods (Steel City Dance Discs)

Raised in the coastal, industrial Australian town of Newcastle (better known as the Steel City), Loods is an understated character with a big, fun, raw and sample-heavy take on classic house music.

Having just relocated to London and released his debut record on longtime friend Mall Grab’s Steel City Dance Discs label, Loods can now be found playing energetic and heartfelt sets all over the UK and Europe on any given weekend. Not one to take things too seriously, his DJ sets are built on pure hands-in-the-air house feelings. A slightly more refined sample of his palate can be heard on the monthly Steel City show on Netil Radio, which he co-hosts with labelmate Salary Boy.

A recent collaboration with Mall Grab, QUAALUDES001, featuring two anthemic house epics, immediately sold out following its May release. With bigger things on the horizon, Loods is already one to watch in 2018 and beyond.
