Did you know how many types of freshwater turtles we have in WA? Our South-Western Snake-Necked Turtle is only found here in the south-west and is near threatened. Learn all about our turtles while crafting your own turtle to take home.
Create a turtle papier mache sculpture and apply colorful and pattered art papers and paints to decorate your turtle....your turtle will be completely unique and ready to take home with you after the workshop. Papier mache can be a messy fun and engaging craft so please wear art clothes to the workshop.
Please note that a parent or caregiver will need to stay with their child for the duration of the activity. There is a small playground at the Bibra Lake Community Centre that small children can access.
Please wear art clothes or aprons as it's messy fun. Disposable gloves will be provided, but if you prefer to bring along your own then we suggest 2 pairs of art gloves. Please note that your papier mache sculptures may not be completely dried when you take them home.
