Our Chief Conductor and Artistic Director  Lee Bracegirdle,  opens the year with a fittingly symbolic  Walk to the Paradise Gardens  by  Delius.  This is a stunningly beautiful work that will seduce you into its charms from its opening notes to it’s final sigh.  POWER & PARADISE  includes in its programming the dramatic irony and contrast of  Mozart’s  final symphony,  Jupiter.  A spectacular work that set the benchmark for others to try and attain.

One of the greatest milestones in the piano  repertoire,  Rachmaninov’s  magnificent Piano Concerto Number 2  completes the program.  Filled with Russian pathos and unimaginable beauty, for this virtuosic and breathtaking concerto, the Woollahra  Philharmonic Orchestra is thrilled to feature the charismatic and unmistakable talents of  Phillip Shovk  to perform this magnificent  work with us.
