Reducing Plastic in Everyday Living

As part of the partnership with Plastic Free July, the City are hosting various sessions throughout July - webinars and in person workshops. These are for City of Joondalup residents to learn about reducing their waste, with a focus on reducing the use of plastic and alternative solutions.

This 1.5 hour session with Lindsay Miles includes a presentation plus hands-on DIY activity which attendees can take away. It is for anyone wanting to learn more about the issues with plastic and what we as individuals can do about it. Lindsay will briefly talk about how and why plastic has become a huge environmental problem, and some misconceptions about plastic recycling. There will also be discussion on how to reduce plastic in two key areas of the home – the kitchen and the bathroom, as well as whilst out and about.
