Resin Art Workshop (with Eco Bio Based Resin)


Sunday 8th September  - 10am - 12pm approximately.


At Hazy Tales Studio, 116 Collins Street, Drysdale.

$190 per ticket which includes the large 50cm wood board, resin and pigment colour.


The class will be run by Sally Hobson from Hazy Tales Studio.


Limited spots available.


Come and create your own large 50cm (approx) resin artwork.  Design an abstract artwork with your own colour choice.   All materials are provided.  You will be working on a round or square board with a plant derived resin (see details at the bottom on how this is greener than traditional petroleum based resin).  It is crystsl clear with excellent UV stability.  You will learn how to mix pigment into the resin and apply it to a primed circular or square board. You will also be abe to use transparent and opaque pigments alongside metallic colours and powders. You will also be shown how to create the high gloss finish top with a heat torch.


Tea and coffee or a glass of wine and biscuits will also be available.


Please wear old clothes you do not mind getting resin or paint on.


Your work will be ready to collect a few days later once it has fully dried.


 


At Hazy Tales we run an eco friendly studio and have invested in solar power and use eco friendly soaps, washing liquid and detergent.  We also have a septic tank which pumps and treats water without energy or chemicals.



The Resin That we use at Hazy Tales Studio is a low-VOC, BPA free Bio-Epoxy Resin from waste by-products reducing the carbon footprint when compared to traditional epoxy resins. A revolution in bio resins. Made with renewable biological resources (organic vegetable waste) and a whopping 77% bio content, it is the best most environmentally friendly bio resin ever developed. Other benefits include low odour, ideal viscosity, UV stability with a hard cure. It is also the first bio resin that is BPA free and a superior non-carcinogenic epoxy.
