Riley Pearce releases roaring new track ‘Misplaced’ & announces national tour
2017 has delivered great things for Perth singer-songwriter Riley Pearce. Not only did he play his first international shows in London, Pearce picked up a ‘WAM Song of the Year’ Award, and also had one of his songs feature in the US hit show ‘Shadowhunters.’ His ‘Outiside The Lines’ EP, released early 2016, has amassed over 6 million streams on Spotify, leaving crowds eagerly awaiting new material. That wait ends today.
Riley Pearce’s new single ‘Misplaced’ expresses Pearce’s inner monologue, describing the uncertainties and overthinking that comes along with entering into a new relationship. Recorded with Andy Lawson (Debaser Studios) who produced Pearce’s last EP, the track is both haunting and uplifting, blending a mixture of bare bones space and grander orchestral elements to reflect the dynamic highs and lows of what a relationship can be like.
Riley heads off around the Country for the first time in over a year, with shows in Melbourne, Sydney, Byron Bay, Brisbane & Gold Coast, including a spot at Swagger Music Festival in regional Victoria.
With an EP planned for release in 2018, his new single ‘Misplaced’ is our first taste of things to come.
