Sassafras brings a lively mix of swing, gypsy classics and French ballads to the stage in Gypsy Swing Soirée.  

Led by double bassist Pete Jeavons and featuring the captivating vocals of Jessie Gordon, this accomplished group deliver a vibrant acoustic performance shaped by intricate musicianship and expressive arrangements.  

From the music of Django Reinhardt and Cole Porter to Edith Piaf and Jacques Brel, expect a dynamic set that moves between fast-paced favourites and more atmospheric moments, all performed with energy, precision and style.

Sunday Serenades Event Information 

Venue 

All concerts are held in the Redmond Theatre at Prendiville Catholic College, located at 11 Prendiville Ave, Ocean Reef.  

Parking 

A small number of standard and ACROD bays are located directly outside the theatre, with additional parking available on the nearby tennis courts.  

Concert times 

All concerts in the Sunday Serenades program start at 2:00pm and run for 60 minutes. Doors open at 1.45pm.  

Seating 

All concert seating is unallocated, so sit wherever you like. All seats offer a clear view of the stage.  

Accessibility 

Redmond Theatre features a flat entry with wheelchair accessible seating area. We encourage you to reach out to discuss additional accessibility requirements.  

Community Transport Program 

The City offers a low-cost Community Transport Program to assist patrons who need support getting to and from the concerts. Get in touch to find out more.  

Cancellation Policy 

If a show is rescheduled or cancelled, all ticketholders will be eligible for a refund. Any such changes will be communicated via email and on the City of Joondalup website. In all other circumstances, tickets are not refundable. If you can no longer attend a concert, you are welcome to gift your tickets to a friend of family member. 

Companion Tickets 

Ticket purchases made by a valid Companion Cardholder are eligible to receive an additional ticket for a carer or companion at no charge. Simply add the ‘companion’ ticket type to your cart when booking and enter your card number when prompted.
