Are you curious about electric bikes but not sure where to start?
Join us for a relaxed and informative morning, just for seniors, with local e-bike experts from The Electric Bike Company to learn all about e-bikes and try them out in a safe and supportive environment.
Learn all about:
- E-bike benefits and how they work
- different styles and models
- making the right purchase for yourself
- rental options offered by The Electric Bike Company.
Then - give them a go for yourself!
A selection of different e-bikes will be available to test ride including e-trikes and trailers for carrying pets or groceries. The park features a smooth, flat 250-metre looped path, providing a safe and easy circular route for test rides.
There is no obligation to purchase or rent an e-bike. This is simply an opportunity to learn, to have a go, and to connect with other seniors interested in bike riding.
Come along to see how e-bikes can help you stay active, independent and connected with your community.
Please note:
- The information session will be held in Currambine Community Centre, followed by e-bike test rides in the adjacent Delamere Park.
- Those wishing to test ride e-bikes must have the ability to ride a bike independently.
- Please wear enclosed shoes.
- Helmets will be provided for test rides but you are welcome to bring your own.
Important note: Due to strong community interest, registrations are essential. If you have questions or can no longer attend, please contact the City's Active Transport Officer on 9400 4000 so your ticket can be reallocated.
