Event Description

In partnership with the Naval Historical Society of Australia, the Harbour Trust welcome you to our Tour, Talk and Cruise NSW Seniors Festival package for 2025!

On Tuesday 4 March, begin your adventure with the Harbour Trust's accessible Shipyard Tales Tour of Cockatoo Island. Your knowledgeable guide will explain how the dockyard evolved over the span of 135 years, as well as recount some quirky and exciting tales from its shipbuilding years on this special 45-minute tour.

Afterwards, enjoy some light refreshments while listening to a fascinating presentation by members of the Naval Historical Society. To top off your experience, you will then cruise around neighbouring Spectacle Island with commentary provided by Captain David Michael, the current President of the Naval Historical Society and former manager of Spectacle Island, before circumnavigating Cockatoo Island. Enjoy a fun-filled outing and meet like-minded people on this experience exclusively for the NSW Seniors Festival!

This package is exclusively available to people over 60, people with a disability over 50 and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people over 50. Carers of seniors are also encouraged to attend.
