From Viral Sensation to the Silver Screen!

Beloved comedy actor and creator of the hit YouTube phenomenon “Lakai Sikai,” Lakmal Weerasiri makes his feature film directorial debut with Sura Detuwo—a heartwarming fantasy inspired by the powerful theme of guardian angels.

Produced by Sudesh Muthunavagonna, a Canada-based entrepreneur who has contributed to Sri Lankan entertainment for over three decades, the film is set for release in Sri Lanka on 12 March 2026, with the international release commencing from 14 March 2026 across Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the USA, and beyond.

The cast features a blend of new faces and seasoned talent: Shan Arosha (Sika), Nethini Weerasiri, Shalika Nadhishani, Suhandhi Woshadi, and Darshan Thavaraja star alongside veterans like Sanath Gunathilake, Dilhani Ashokamala, and Lakmal Weerasiri himself.
