Sub Base Platypus Community Day Tour (Free)
As part of Sub Base Platypus Community Day (16 Sept), the Harbour Trust will be running FREE tours for one day only of the former gas works, torpedo factory and submarine base. Across the course of 45 minutes, a knowledgeable tour guide will delve into the layered history of this emerging waterfront destination and lead visitors through the new Torpedo Factory precinct, where they’ll encounter historical artefacts, including a decommissioned Mark VIII torpedo, as well as an incredible vantage point of Neutral Bay and an exciting three-piece artwork that recognises and honours Country.
Note: Tickets are limited. Online reservations are essential. Sub Base Platypus Community Day is being held to celebrate the opening of the new Torpedo Factory Precinct to the public.
