Cockatoo Island Sunset Sessions

Everyone’s favourite live music series is back! Grab tickets for Sunset Sessions 2025 and spend your Saturday afternoons in the heart of Sydney Harbour!

1 February 2025 - Toby Martin (6:45pm)For this show Toby Martin will be doing solo acoustic versions of songs from his solo albums I Felt the Valley Lifting, Northam Avenue and Love’s Shadow, and a few choice cuts from the back catalogue of his band Youth Group. He is very inspired to write songs about places and landscapes. He has written lots of songs about Sydney, the Harbour, and Youth Group even once recorded an album at the Coal Loader site in Waverton, just across from Cockatoo Island, and he will be delving into these songs on the night.

Supported by Misty Lanes (5:30pm)Steven W. Schouten, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter from Sydney's Misty Lanes, will be delivering a rare solo acoustic set, bringing the band's dreamy, psych-infused sound to a stripped-back format. Known for his nuanced storytelling and atmospheric melodies, Steven's solo rendition will offer an intimate take on Misty Lanes' catalogue, blending raw emotion with a soulful presence. This special set supports Toby Martin promising a night of introspective soundscapes and captivating performances.
