The festival runs over 9 days and 1 special VIP evening.
YOZAKURA (VIP evening – over 18+) 17 Aug
For one night only we light up the Cherry Arbour for night time viewing of a small sample of the Japanese Gardens
- Hot off the stages of Fuji Rock, Sydney Cherry Blossom Festival introduces you to ABBAN the Japanese ABBA cover band come sing along to all your favourites and then get up and belt out your own tunes at our Karaoke Party.
- The Izakaya bar will be open for Yozakura to offering a premium menu of plum wine, sake and Japanese Craft Beer.

HANAMI 18 & 19 Aug and 25 & 26 Aug
For the Full festival line up join us on weekends for our weekend HANAMI where you can wonder among the blossoms and get that perfect spring selfie.

- Get made over by Hello Kitty in the festivals Hello Kitty Make Over bar
- Sample festival only Japanese fusion and traditional food in the massive food village and

GARDEN DAY with COSTA 21 Aug
Host of Gardening Australia and our favourite eco-warrior hosts a day made for gardeners and greenies alike! listen to Costa talk on biodiversity and stay for the Q & A
- Learn the ancient technique of Bonsai from Bonsai master Austen Kosasih or take part in an Ikebana workshop
- Join the guided tour through the Japanese Gardens and learn all about Cherry Blossoms
- Build your own backyard beehive and learn how to grow a sustainable future
KIDS Day presented by SCOOT 22 Aug
This much-requested day is specifically for parents with young children who would like to visit the Gardens with the little ones mid-week.
- Free activities for young children and toddlers, with activities starting from 10.00am.
- Meet Hello Kitty, join the Taiko class for toddlers or try your hand at Baby Yoga
Seniors Day 23 Aug
A big line-up for seniors includes traditional Japanese musical performances, flower demonstrations, Japanese tea ceremonies and Kimono photo dress-ups
- Listen to beautiful Haiku readings.
- Start the day off with some traditional Japanese exercise for Seniors with Taiso classes.
Serenity 20 and 24 Aug
Serenity is a day for those who would like escape the crowds, to take the Cherry trail around the Japanese Gardens at their own pace. Serenity days are popular with budding and professional photographers alike, who enjoy taking the time setting up the perfect blossom photo.
