It’s invigorating when you hear a sound that can’t be contained within one genre. This goes for Thunder Fox and their new single ‘Squeedup’, released today by Sydney’s six piece band of brothers.

A track that overflows with funk sensibilities and shredding guitars, this track's saxophone and trumpet additions will force the body to move and groove. Turning to the likes of Led Zeppelin, Jeff Buckley, Anderson Paak and the The Red Hot Chili Peppers, the band has formed something incredibly boisterous and refreshingly individualistic. It’s a beautiful irony with a song so full of life to have derived from a wretched start, “I wrote Squeedup after I had my heart broken. I thought there would be no better way to overcome that insecurity than to just take the piss out of the whole situation. Unhealthy maybe, but it worked!" says vocalist and guitarist Sam Dawes.

This masterpiece is the kicker following six months of international shows for Thunder Fox; a European summer tour collecting fans and adding streams across the globe in countries such as the Netherlands, Germany, France and Spain. Having supported the likes of Ocean Alley, The Living End, Sticky Fingers to name a few and having rocked out at big liner festivals such as Lost Paradise, Caloundra Music Festival and Granite Town Festival, mastering an epic live set is an understatement.
