Discover the stories, memories and experiences behind TRIBUTE at Joondalup Contemporary Art Gallery with two free curator-led tours exploring artworks from the City of Joondalup art collection.

Join TRIBUTE Curator Tim Carter for a guided tour of this year’s annual collection exhibition, featuring artworks that reflect on the people, places and moments that shape us. Bringing together treasured and rarely-seen works from the City of Joondalup art collection, TRIBUTE explores ideas of community, identity, nostalgia and belonging through artworks by artists from Western Australia and beyond.

Across both sessions, visitors will gain insight into selected artworks, the stories behind the exhibition, and the development of the City’s art collection over time.

Complimentary tea, coffee and light refreshments will be served.

Getting there

You’ll find Joondalup Contemporary Art Gallery between the Joondalup Library and City of Joondalup Administration Building, next to the Council Chambers.

Free public parking is available in the Library Car Park. Alternatively, the gallery is a 13-minute walk from Joondalup Train Station, or you can catch the Blue CAT bus, which departs every 15 minutes from the station.

We recommend arriving at 10am when the Gallery opens and complimentary morning tea is served. The talk will start at 10.30am and run for approx 60 minutes. 

Accessibility

Joondalup Contemporary Art Gallery features a flat, level floor surface and wide doorways.

Accessible toilets are available in the gallery, with additional facilities located in Joondalup Library next door.

The Joondalup Library Car Park includes accessible parking bays, with lift access to the main walkway from the underground car park.
