Turtle Tracker Training Night

At this turtle tracker training event you will learn how to track nesting female turtles, protect their nests, and log turtle data into the TurtleSAT app. You will join a network of other citizen scientists across the turtle’s range who will work in a rostered team to make a real difference to the turtles within the Yellagonga wetlands.  

To become a registered turtle tracker, you need to: 

1. Register your attendance via this Ticketbooth webpage. 


2. Register with the Saving our Snake-necked Turtle (SOSNT) team on the following link: SOSNT turtle tracker registration. The SOSNT team will then forward you a volunteer information pack with essential reading and documents. 


3. Read the volunteer information documents before coming to the training event.  


4. Come along to a training session. 

This workshop is free, but registration is essential.
