The Department of Defence is trying to ensure its soon-to-be-launched $230 million Centre for Defence Industry Capability doesn’t make waves for WA’s growing defence supply chain.
The key plank of the Government’s $1.6 billion of industry initiatives that stemmed from the Defence White Paper in February, the CDIC will be tasked with making it easier for businesses to compete for and win defence industry business, something Austal is keen to be a part of.
