ASI and CCI invites you to attend the 2016 Western Australia Steel Excellence Awards Presentation Breakfast

The Steel Awards are conducted biennially to promote excellence in steel design, recognising creative approaches with structural and architectural elements in the built environment.

Join us for a light breakfast, networking and the opportunity to hear from Gail McGowan, Director General, Department of Planning.     

Gail has extensive public sector experience in a range of areas  including land use planning and industry development, having led some of WA’s most significant land assembly and development projects. Key responsibilities in her portfolio include ensuring WA’s planning system adapts to anticipated  rapid growth and driving the planning reform agenda. Prior to her appointment at the Department of Planning, she was Deputy Director General at the Department of State Development (WA) responsible for managing strategic projects for the benefit of the Western Australian economy and community. Gail was also Director of Policy and Education at WorkSafe, and the principal policy advisor and Chief of Staff to State and Federal Ministers of Parliament.
