Walk and Talk - Jason Maling

Walk and Talk through Noosa’s iconic National Park with the Sunshine Coast Creative Alliance and internationally renowned artist Jason Maling  


WHERE Noosa National Park- Meet at the information centre at the parks entrance.


WHEN Wednesday 31st October 3.30pm-6pm


WHAT TO BRING Walking shoes,water,togs if you fancy a swim.


RSVP - Bookings are essential and places are limited.


We will continue onto the Village Bicycle after the walk for a quick bite and a beer. Jason also will be a guest speaker at SCCA’s Juice & Jam Arts Breakfast the following morning at Peppers Noosa Resort.


ABOUT JASON


Jason Maling’s work is a conceptually driven mix of live performance and socially engaged practice. For over 20 years he has developed collaborative immersive projects both nationally and internationally that engage with unusual sites, communities and subcultures. Jason is a founding member of the award winning, public art collective Field Theory, and a regular collaborator with Australia’s leading experimental theatre company, Back To Back. His recent projects include Single Channel Video (Back To Back Theatre 2018), A song to Change the World (2018 Festival of Live Art), 9000 Minutes (2016 Melbourne Festival), The Physician (MCA Sydney, City Gallery Wellington NZ). In 2014 Jason began working with Robert Walton in a collaboration that produced the Webby Nominated art work for smartphones and cemeteries ‘Vanitas’ (2018).  Vanitas was presented as part of Horizon Festival 2018.


A collaboration between The Sunshine Coast Creative Alliance, Arts Coast, Moffat Creative, Noosa Council and the Queensland Governments Regional Development Arts Fund.
