A call-out to all explorers and adventurers – come hike with us deep into a beautiful forest, where you can dance, feast, drink and make merry with the Wonderpeople. This year’s Wonderland adventure sees us trek away from the river and the sea and venture into nature, with the event’s 2016 edition taking place in the rare and beautiful woods of Kitchener Park, Subiaco.

Adventurer? Explorer? Curious and courageous? This year’s Wonderland is for the wild at heart. This year will be the sixth time we make our annual Wonderland party pilgrimage, and for the first time since our hurrah in the bushland at Belvoir, we are leaving behind the rivers and seas, to trek back inland.

We will journey into Kitchener Park - an exquisite woodlands guarded by towering pine trees, with stunning greenery at every turn. There, we’ll follow winding trails deep into the centre of the forest, where the plan is to dance, feast, drink and run wild with other fabulous humans – we shall call ourselves ‘The Wonderpeople’.

Here, as we party in the heart of the forest, the most fantastic musical creatures will flock, to dazzle and delight us, and give us music for our dancing, all through the night.

Who could be more suited to captain this year’s Wonderland adventure than our all-time fave Sydney pilots – the absolutely talented producer superstars that are Flight Facilities. They join us for some forest fun after a freakin’ massive couple of years that’s involved everything from next-level shows with symphony orchestras, to #1 albums, to Euro/US tours. The boys will be bringing some special guest vocalists to Wonderland so you can sing along to faves like Crave You, Clair De Lune and Sunshine, as well as get your chance to hear brand new material from the next LP they’ve been working on. Flight Facilities, under the starry night sky, surround by lush, beautiful forest… talk about Waking Bliss!

Joining them will be hitmaker / dreamweaver Hayden James. You’ve most definitely vibed out on a dancefloor in recent times to a smooth hit from the Future Classic producer – whether it be Permission to Love, Something About You or Just A Lover - or been one of the millions that have played his songs over and over on Spotify and Soundcloud. Hayden joins our party following a god-damn impressive touring schedule that’s seen him smash Splendour in the Grass, an Asia Tour, a sold-out Just A Lover Australian tour, and Europe. We can’t wait for this talented creature to work his magic and get us dancing and romancing deep in the heart of the Wonderland wilderness.

We are Bullshit excited to let you know Brissie bonglords DUNE RATS will be getting loose and sharing shoeys in the sunshine with us on Dec 3! Plus get ready to sway in the breeze under the pine trees with the lovely Japanese Wallpaper, whose sure to provide some real shivers-down-the-spine moments as he performs his delicate, effervescent productions. Jack Rabbit Slim’s Jamboree band competition winners Three Hands One Hoof, have won their way to the stage - the Perth four-piece will kick off the day with their magic indie-rock/jazz tunes.

Prepare for insane, high-energy, noisy, happy times when we Wonderland it up in the woodlands with Brisbane’s The Jungle Giants – a formidable force in the Aussie indie scene. We also welcome Tasmanian born singer Asta – winner of triple j’s Unearthed a few years back, and responsible for the catchy 80s-infused number Dynamite, co-produced by Chaka Khan’s producer and featuring rapper Allday. Her recent work has seen her expand her writing and performance craft and reveal Asta as a songstress to be reckoned with, and we’re sure she’ll make for an enchanting forest queen. We have a little tradition at Wonderland that we like to have some raucous punk troublemakers stirring up some shit amongst the chill electronic producers and dance lords – in the past Dune Rats have taken this title, and this year we’re handing over the controls to an act on their label Ratbag Records - Aussie surf coast punk mongrels Skegss , who we have every confidence will have you laughing, moshing and losing it in no time.

What more lies beyond forest doors? We’ll wade out into the “Wastelands” – a second (smaller) stage built of shipping containers and featuring the cream of Australia’s bass scene on the decks (line-up to follow). We’ll drink like lizards from several brilliant kinds of bespoke bars - including a strange new “Beer Land” with a bounty of craft brews. We’ll feast like kings from food trucks. We’ll get lost in the rad realm that is The Teepee Village, transforming ourselves from ordinary denizens into dazzling creatures fit to run and dance where the wild things are. And, inspired by our beautiful surrounds, we’ll be sure to leave no trace of our trekking – Wonderland is a carbon-neutral event, and we’ll be running a trash-for-tokens exchange.

We assemble in December, and begin our march to where the wild things are.
