World Ocean Day Community Beach Clean-Up

Join us for a community beach clean-up to celebrate World Ocean Day! This event is for all ages to help protect the marine environment from harmful litter.

There will also be special guests for the kids, the famous Curtis the Crab and Martha the Mermaid from 9-10am. 

The clean-up will be along Ngarkal Beach, Chelydra Beach and surrounds in North Coogee.

Schedule:
9am - Meet at the Ngarkal Beach picnic area near the water park. The City will provide all clean-up supplies so you can make your way along the beach and surrounds picking up litter.

10:30-11am - Meet back at the City's litter sorting station on Ngarkal Beach to see how much litter was found and become a citizen scientist!

After all your hard work, you will receive a free coffee/hot chocolate voucher to use at nearby Dome Cafe, Port Coogee.

Sunscreen and all clean-up equipment provided by the City of Cockburn. Please wear long trousers, closed in shoes, a hat and don't forget to bring a drink bottle!
