Event Description
Christmas Makers Day - Furoshiki Wrapping

Come and join Japanese native, Perth-based artist, Nami Osaki for her Furoshiki workshop.

Furoshiki is a traditional Japanese art form of fabric folding and wrapping.

It’s also the perfect solution for eliminating plastic shopping bags.  In this workshop you will be taught how to wrap different shaped and sized Christmas gifts from a piece of Furoshiki fabric, along with making everyday shopping and carry bags.

All the Furoshiki is provided to use for each participant for the purpose of learning (not to take home sorry).

Please bring the following items on the day:

  • 2 same size empty wine bottles

  • 2 same size tissue boxes (rectangle)

  • Any objects you would like to learn how to wrap with Furoshiki

Maximum two tickets per registration.
