Y.E.S Spring 2025 | Caves, culture and connection: A day at Yanchep National Park

Join us as we step into the magical underground world of Crystal Cave. Discover the tiny creatures that call this mysterious habitat home and be enchanted by the stalactites, stalagmites, and helictites throughout this ‘steam cave’ as you learn how it was formed, and how it’s still evolving today.

Enjoy an entertaining and informative session that will immerse you in the local Noongar culture, learn about the world's oldest living culture, experience Didgeridoo playing and find out the significance of plants and animals to the original custodians of the area.

Please bring your own lunch, and money if you would like to buy some treats from the onsite chocolate shop.

Ticket information:

• City of Joondalup residents: Tickets available from Monday 15 September 2025, 12pm.


• General public: Tickets available from Monday 22 September 2025, 12pm.

Important notes:

• P: This is a physical/outdoor activity. Please bring a hat, water bottle, socks, and enclosed shoes. Wear appropriate clothing for the activities and weather conditions.


• BYO: Bring your own meals/snacks/money for extras.


• FYI: Young people will have freedom to explore the venue and direct supervision will be limited. 

Registration and what to bring:

1. Before registering: Ensure the participant is within the specified age range. No refunds for incorrect bookings.


2. Membership Form: Complete the Youth Services Membership Form prior to registering. Only one form per young person is needed.


3. Confirmation email: After registering, you'll receive a confirmation email with details on what to bring, including:

• your ticket (printed or displayed on a smartphone)


• any additional waivers/forms (physical copies required on arrival).

Cancellations and refunds:

• For general non-attendance, refunds will only be given if a medical certificate is presented to the City prior to the event. No refunds or credits will be issued if the City is not informed before the event.


• Programs may be cancelled if there are insufficient enrolments one day prior or due to factors beyond the City's control. Fees may not be refundable for cancellations due to weather, safety, or unforeseen circumstances.
