Y.E.S Spring 2025 | Grow, explore and decorate at Perth City Farm

Spend the day discovering nature, sustainability, and creativity at Perth City Farm! 

Kick off the day with a guided tour of Perth City Farm, where we will explore the history of the site and learn about its mission to promote sustainable living. Get hands-on with composting and worm farming systems and discover the secrets of healthy soil and food growing in an urban environment. 

In the afternoon, creativity takes centre stage with a fun and colourful edible flowers workshop. Learn which flowers are safe to eat and how they’re used in cooking, then put your new knowledge to the test by decorating cupcakes with beautiful, edible blooms. 

Bring your own lunch or purchase a treat from City Farms onsite cafe.  

Ticket information:

• City of Joondalup residents: Tickets available from Monday 15 September 2025, 12pm.


• General public: Tickets available from Monday 22 September 2025, 12pm.

Important notes:

• P: This is a physical/outdoor activity. Please bring a hat, water bottle, socks, and enclosed shoes. Wear appropriate clothing for the activities and weather conditions.


• BYO: Bring your own meals/snacks/money for extras.


• FYI: Young people will have freedom to explore the venue and direct supervision will be limited. 

Registration and what to bring:

1. Before registering: Ensure the participant is within the specified age range. No refunds for incorrect bookings.


2. Membership Form: Complete the Youth Services Membership Form prior to registering. Only one form per young person is needed.


3. Confirmation email: After registering, you'll receive a confirmation email with details on what to bring, including:

• your ticket (printed or displayed on a smartphone)


• any additional waivers/forms (physical copies required on arrival).

Cancellations and refunds:

• For general non-attendance, refunds will only be given if a medical certificate is presented to the City prior to the event. No refunds or credits will be issued if the City is not informed before the event.


• Programs may be cancelled if there are insufficient enrolments one day prior or due to factors beyond the City's control. Fees may not be refundable for cancellations due to weather, safety, or unforeseen circumstances.
