Event Terms and Conditions

Slideapalooza exists to create a fun environment where individuals and groups can come and enjoy Australia’s largest waterslide festival. As a festival organiser, we take our responsibility to create a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone seriously. Anti-social behaviour will not be accepted. To ensure we succeed at presenting the quality festival you have come to expect, we have written these terms and conditions.

First up, ‘you’ and ‘your’ refers to the customer. ‘We’, ‘us’, ‘our’, ‘Slideapalooza’ and ‘festival organiser’ refers to Slidepalooza Pty Ltd, its employees, contractors, volunteers and authorised persons. ‘This agreement’ means these terms and conditions and any other conditions specified by us on our website, booking forms or other communications.

Safety is paramount. Whilst at the festival, your safety and the safety of those around you is our primary focus and essential to your enjoyment of the festivities. So please slide with care, enjoy a meal together, drink water regularly, protect yourself from the sun and consume alcohol responsibly.

We engage qualified first aid staff who are there to help with any medical situation. By attending the festival, you consent to these qualified first aid providers accessing medical information about you available to them and treating you accordingly.

Slideapalooza Staff love you very much, so anything they ask you to do is because they want you to have an awesome day. Please listen and follow any reasonable directions they might give you, it could be important!

Children and Health Advice We love families and want to encourage all ages to enjoy Slideapalooza. However, we need to make sure we provide a safe and healthy experience for all, so if you’re coming with little ones, please be mindful of the below.

  1. Children 0 – 13 years must be accompanied by an adult or legal guardian (minimum 16 years +)
  2. Children under 4yrs of age must be accompanied by someone 14yrs+ on all attractions unless indicated otherwise.
  3. Children should be toileted prior to entering the pool and regularly whilst swimming.
  4. Children under the age of 3 must wear swimming nappies or tight bathers that will contain any faecal accidents, board shorts or loose clothing are not permitted.
  5. People who have had diarrhoea within the last 48 hours must not enter the water.
  6. Lifeguards and/or staff cannot supervise children. Parents/ guardians must actively supervise their children at all times
  7. Royal Life Saving Australia recommends that children under the age of 10 be under the supervision of a person 16 years or older.

Proof of Age is very important! Slideapalooza is open to all ages and if you look younger than 25 and are looking to purchase alcohol, we will ask for valid photo ID. To purchase or consume alcohol at the festival, you must have a valid photo ID as proof of age. In Queensland, the Liquor Act 1992 defines five types of ID which are acceptable evidence of age. The ID document must be current and include a photo of you and your date of birth. Here they are, pick one and put it in your wallet now!

  1. An adult proof of age card
  2. A recognised proof of age card (eg Keypass identity card)
  3. Australian driver licence or rider permit
  4. Passport (from any country)
  5. Foreign driver licence – Note: Where a foreign driver licence is not written in English, an international driver permit issued in the foreign country of origin (and including a photo of the licence holder and translation) should be presented with the foreign driver licence.

Bag Checks are necessary, because some things are not allowed to be brought to Slideapalooza. Examples of some things you can’t bring in are glass, alcohol, weapons, illicit substances, pets, chandeliers or cement mixers. Seriously though, it is a condition of entry to the festival that you permit a search of your possessions at the time of entry to the venue. Any item we may consider inappropriate can’t be brought in and may be confiscated. Refusal to consent to a search will prevent your entry to the festival site which will probably cause tears.

Food and Drink will be available for purchase at each Slideapalooza location. Unless otherwise stated on the specific event page, outside food and drink is not permitted.

Your Behaviour tells those around you a lot about you, so play nice! We’re all there for the same reasons plus no one likes to be shouted at. Treat others how you want to be treated, otherwise we may ask you to leave the festival.

Alcohol is ok, but please follow our example and enjoy sensibly and responsibly. Be aware of your limits and make use of the many public transport options to get you home safely. We support the responsible service of alcoholic beverages.

Only alcohol purchased from outlets at Slideapalooza may be consumed on site. BYO alcohol is not permitted and will be confiscated. Any patron wishing to consume alcohol must have valid photo ID as defined in these terms and conditions. Supplying alcohol to a minor is an offence and you will be referred to police.

Unduly Intoxicated is not ok. We support our staff in the responsible service of alcoholic beverages and in the refusal of service if required. Our security staff are also trained in RSA. If you are unduly intoxicated, we cannot allow you to remain at the festival.

Smoking is not permitted in any area of the Slideapalooza site except for in designated smoking areas. Alcohol is not permitted to be taken into designated smoking areas.

Illicit Drugs are not ok. If you are found supplying, consuming or in possession of illicit drugs while attending Slideapalooza you will be referred to police.

Glass is out. The Slideapalooza site is a Glass Free Zone. To assist us in complying with the conditions of our Liquor Licence, glass, earthenware or things made from similar materials are not permitted to be brought into any part of the venue.

Pets are awesome, but unfortunately not permitted on the Slideapalooza site, unless they are registered assistance animals, in which case they are welcome.

Purchasing General Admission tickets to Slideapalooza can only be done online via our official Slideapalooza ticketing provider Ticketbooth or at the gate on the day.

Online e-Tickets will be emailed, as a PDF attachment, to the email address you provided during the booking process once your credit card has been successfully charged. If you do not receive your e-ticket(s) please contact us by writing an email to support@ticketbooth.com.au .

Safeguard your e-Ticket like you would your cash, because it’s essentially the same. If you lose it, anyone can use it.

Entry may be refused if tickets are damaged or defaced in any way, or if the festival organiser has reasonable grounds to believe the tickets have been acquired by unauthorised or illegal means. As festival organiser, we reserve the right to refuse entry to any patron but we will act reasonably in doing so.
