Event Description
Rite of Spring

A creative reimagining of a classic! Members of Second Echo Ensemble embark on their boldest project yet – an original devised performance based on Igor Stravinsky’sThe Rite of Spring

Through dance, physical theatre and immersive design, we journey deep into the promise of spring. Interiors are revealed; the wishful linings of pockets, secrets stained on petticoats, histories and landscapes tattooed on the hearts. Our hopes, expectations, and choices. Our rights and dreams.

Rite of Spring will be a grand procession: audience and performers traveling together. On a journey with friends, strangers and neighbours, we will move at the same pace and in the same rhythm. In our Rite of Spring, we will feel geography, experience the diversity of our humanity and celebrate moving and being moved.
