A disparate group of dancers, preferring to express themselves through dance rather than speech, clash with each other and members of the local community.

DV8’s  film has won eleven international awards, including a Prix Italia and a Rose d’Or. It continues to be screened by various festivals worldwide throughout 2006, including the Reeldance tour in Australia, Dance Shorts in Brighton, and Dancing the World in Newcastle.

DV8 Physical Theatre’s work is about taking risks, aesthetically and physically, about breaking down the barriers between dance, theatre and personal politics and, above all, communicating ideas and feelings clearly and unpretentiously. It is determined to be radical yet accessible, and to take its work to as wide an audience as possible.
