WAFIA

Meet Wafia Al-Rikabi AKA Wafia, the 22-year-old Brisbane-based songwriter and vocalist who's brand of haunting R'n'B has seen her shoot to fame. Her lead single Heartburn, with co-production credits going to labelmate Ta-Ku, reached number 1 on the Hype Machine charts and demonstrates her ability to pair silky smooth vocal hooks with forward thinking beats.

Touring her debut EP XXIX out now on Future Classic, get set for a special show.

WORLD CHAMPION

Far from the new kids on the block, Sydney psych-pop duo World Champion are Julian Sudek and Will Campion. Julian was a founding member of Mercy Arms and has since played with Canyons, FLRL (Jono Ma, Kirin J Cillinan) and and most recently George Maple. Will, a bedroom producer, has also played in Sydney bands Cut Silk and The Chevaliers.

Their debut single 'Avocado Galaxy' has become a firm favourite on triple j, with a huge amount of buzz developing around their live show. We can't wait to see what they've got in store!
